INTER MIAMI vs TIGRES UANL (Chase Stadium, 8:00 p.m. ET)
With both sides just three wins away from the title, each will be desperate to handle business in this quarterfinal clash.
Javier Mascherano’s squad, led by Lionel Messi, is in a favorable position. Should they take care of business against Tigres, Miami would host the semifinal — and if the LA Galaxy fail to reach the final, the Herons would also host the championship match.
The biggest concern for Inter Miami remains Messi’s fitness. While the Argentine featured against the Galaxy in their last MLS match, he left immediately after the final whistle and was seen rubbing his hamstring, raising fears of a re-aggravation of the injury suffered earlier against Club Necaxa.
TOLUCA FC vs ORLANDO CITY (Dignity Health Sports Park, 9:00 p.m. ET)
Two of the most explosive offenses in North America collide in the Leagues Cup Quarterfinals when Toluca FC faces Orlando City SC on Wednesday at Dignity Health Sports Park in Carson, California.
Each side comes into the game playing some of their best soccer, each seeking to extend their respective unbeaten streaks and parlay it into a trip to their first Leagues Cup Semifinals appearance.
SEATTLE SOUNDERS vs CLUB PUEBLA (Lumen Field, 11:00 p.m. ET)
The Sounders enter the quarterfinals as the only team with a perfect record in Phase One and now get to play at home against a Puebla squad looking to continue their surprising Leagues Cup run.
The Sounders have been nothing short of dominant after winning all three Phase One games in regulation, including a 7-0 beating of Cruz Azul. Puebla, meanwhile, is rewriting its own history in this tournament. Prior to this year, the club had never advanced past the group stage and had only one win to its name. Now, they’re in the Knockouts for the first time ever, determined to keep their dream run alive.
LA GALAXY vs PACHUCA (Dignity Health Sports Park, 11:45 p.m. ET)
Defending MLS Cup champions, LA Galaxy, will have the luxury of being at home when they host current Liga MX leaders, Pachuca, in the final quarterfinal matchup from Dignity Health Sports Park.
These two powerhouse clubs are coached by a pair of managers who know how to win silverware.
LA Galaxy head coach Greg Vanney is a two-time MLS Cup champion, having just piloted the G’s to a league-record sixth MLS Cup title last season.
His opponent, former Mexico national team manager Jaime Lozano, is also accustomed to winning at a club boasting six Concacaf Champions Cup trophies.
