Leagues Cup

Leagues Cup returns in 2021 after a thrilling inaugural edition in 2019 – which saw Cruz Azul emerge as the first-ever Champions of the interleague competition between Major League Soccer and LIGA MX. This year’s edition, featuring four clubs from each of the two best leagues in North America, is set to be an exciting clash that will build upon the on-field rivalry between both leagues.

Tigres, Pumas, Santos and Léon are set to join the 2021 edition of the Leagues Cup, having earned their places via their domestic performances. Sporting Kansas City, Orlando City SC, Seattle Sounders FC, and New York City FC will represent MLS thanks to their results during the 2020 regular season.

The tournament is set to kick off with quarterfinal matches from August 10-12. The semifinals will be played the week of September 13, with the final scheduled to take place on September 22 in Las Vegas, NV.
