Media Guide: How to Cover Leagues Cup Finals

To assist in the media’s coverage of the Leagues Cup Final and Third Place matches, Leagues Cup Communications is providing the following media resources, all of which are available on LeaguesCup.com/Media-Resources

Media Availability
For the finals, Leagues Cup 2023 finalists will participate in press conferences with the Head Coach and a player, as well as player availability at training. More details will be made available directly from the clubs’ communications.

 
Media Accreditation 
The online media credential applications for each match is accepting requests at the following link:  **Leagues Cup Credential Application System** 
 

  • Media wishing to attend any of the two matches should apply by 5 p.m. EST, two days prior to the final matches. No late applications or changes will be accepted after those dates.

Fans in over 100 countries and regions will be able to watch all 77 Leagues Cup matches on MLS Season Pass on the Apple TV app, the subscription service from Apple and Major League Soccer that is available on smart TVs, streaming devices, Apple devices, set-top boxes, game consoles, and the web at tv.apple.com. In addition, TelevisaUnivision , FOX Sports, TSN and RDS will be the linear broadcast home for 15 group stage matches in the United States and Canada.

Tickets for all matches are available on LeaguesCup.com and are also available to fans via the hosting MLS club. MLS clu b season ticket holders should contact their club representative for more information or visit LeaguesCup.com and follow @LeaguesCup on social.   
 

ABOUT LEAGUES CUP
Leagues Cup represents a monumental new chapter for North American soccer. Beginning in 2023, Major League Soccer and LIGA MX will pause their seasons each summer and all 47 first division professional soccer clubs in the U.S., Mexico and Canada will compete in a World Cup-style, official Concacaf tournament, which will qualify the top three finishers to the Concacaf Champions Cup. Leagues Cup 2023 will kick off Friday, July 21 and will feature 77 games hosted at stadiums throughout the U.S. and Canada, with the Final taking place on Saturday, August 19.
