Leagues Cup 2026 delivered another action-packed night filled with breakout performances, milestone goals and statement victories as the race for the quarterfinals continued to intensify.
Myrto Uzuni stole the spotlight with a brilliant hat trick in Austin's 3-0 victory over Puebla, while 16-year-old Cavan Sullivan found the net as Philadelphia Union earned a crucial 3-1 win over Necaxa. Robert Lewandowski also added another milestone to his legendary career, scoring his first Leagues Cup goal as Chicago Fire came from behind to defeat Santos Laguna 3-1.
Elsewhere, Seattle Sounders snapped a seven-game losing streak in emphatic fashion with a 3-0 victory over Querétaro, while José Paradela’s late goal lifted Cruz Azul past NYCFC and strengthened La Máquina’s position in the quarterfinal race.
Cristian Espinoza struck twice in Nashville's dominant 4-1 win over Atlético de San Luis, Bryan Zamble provided the difference as San Diego FC shut out Tijuana 1-0, and Brian Rodríguez delivered another standout performance as Club América defeated Portland Timbers 3-1 to continue its impressive start to the tournament.
Seattle Sounders 3 vs Querétaro 0
Led by two of its Academy products, Sebastián Gómez and Paul Rothrock, the Seattle Sounders earned a 3-0 win over Querétaro in Matchweek 2 of Leagues Cup 2026 on Sunday at Lumen Field in Seattle, Washington.
The Sounders ended a seven-game losing streak as it sought to turn around its recent woes and revive its Leagues Cup title defense.
Philadelphia 3 vs Necaxa 1
Philadelphia Union knew it deserved more from its Leagues Cup opener, and on Sunday night, the team responded in emphatic fashion. An explosive start against visiting Necaxa saw the Union score twice in the opening 12 minutes, setting the tone for a convincing victory at Subaru Park.
It was a commanding response from Philadelphia, which collected its first three points of Leagues Cup 2026 and kept its quarterfinal hopes alive. Necaxa, meanwhile, was eliminated from contention after suffering back-to-back defeats against MLS opposition.
Cruz Azul 2 vs New York City FC 1
Cruz Azul generated chances, controlled the game and ultimately had enough quality to put New York City FC away, earning a 2-1 victory and getting close to securing a place in the next round of the 2026 Leagues Cup.
The result gave La Máquina three more points, a second consecutive win and, most importantly, a good opportunity to secure a place in the next round of the 2026 Leagues Cup.
Chicago Fire 3 vs Santos Laguna 1
Chicago Fire FC rallied from a halftime deficit to defeat Santos Laguna 3-1 on Sunday at SeatGeek Stadium, remaining perfect in the 2026 Leagues Cup.
Chicago found the winning goal in the 90th minute. Anton Salétros delivered the assist, and Robin Lod finished from the center of the box to put the Fire ahead for the first time.
Three minutes later, Robert Lewandowski added another goal. It was Lewandowski's third goal in three matches with Chicago Fire. He scored twice against Charlotte FC prior to the club’s Leagues Cup opener.
Nashville 4 vs Atlético San Luis 1
A convincing 4-1 victory for Nashville over Atlético de San Luis kept the MLS side’s hopes alive in Leagues Cup 2026. The Tennessee club responded emphatically after falling behind to Rafa Llorente’s opener, turning the match around behind a stellar performance from Argentine midfielder Cristian Espinoza. The No. 7 struck twice late in the first half to help Nashville take control and ultimately secure all three points.
With the victory, B.J. Callaghan’s side earned its first points of the tournament after a narrow Matchday 1 defeat to León and put itself right back in the race for one of the four quarterfinal spots available to MLS clubs

Those in attendance at Q2 Stadium were treated not only to a victory by the home team, but also to a spectacular individual performance from Albanian forward Myrto Uzuni.
Three shots, three goals. That was all Uzuni needed in the first half to complete a stunning hat-trick, scoring in three different ways and putting Puebla in a hole it was never able to escape.
San Diego 1 vs Tijuana 0
San Diego FC earned its first victory of the 2026 Leagues Cup, defeating Club Tijuana 1-0 on Sunday night at Snapdragon Stadium.
San Diego found the breakthrough in the 22nd minute after a mistake from Tijuana. Jesús Gómez misplaced a pass toward Gilberto Mora, allowing Alejandro Alvarado to win possession. Alvarado played the ball to Dreyer, received it back, and then sent it toward Bryan Zamblé, who was left with a simple finish from close range to make it 1-0.
The hosts closed out the match without conceding and secured three points. The defeat ends Tijuana’s hopes of advancing. San Diego also remained unbeaten against Xolos in all four meetings between the clubs.
Club América 3 vs Portland Timbers 1
Club América showed why it is considered one of the favorites to win the 2026 Leagues Cup, earning an impressive 3-1 victory over the Portland Timbers.
Just six minutes into the match, Brian Rodríguez gave América a 1-0 lead with what could be one of the goals of the tournament, curling a spectacular long-range free kick into the net and stunning the crowd at Providence Park.
