San Diego ended its participation in Leagues Cup 2026 with a 3-2 win over Puebla on Wednesday at Snapdragon Stadium in San Diego, California.
Osvald Søe opened the scoring for the hosts in the 4th minute with a right-footed shot to put the finishing touch on a corner kick opportunity.
Puebla evened things in the 30th minute when Kevin Velasco pounced on a rebound off the right post.
David Vazquez put the MLS side back in front with a header in the 76th minute.
Dagur Thórhallsson extended the lead in the 80th minute to give San Diego a 3-1 lead.
Puebla pulled one back in the 87th minute with a left-footed shot from Eduardo Mustre, cutting San Diego’s lead to one and setting up a dramatic finish.
