MATCH RECAP: Orlando City defeats Atlético de San Luis on penalties

Orlando City SC earned a 5-3 win on penalties against Atlético de San Luis after a 2-2 draw in regulation on Wednesday at Inter.co Stadium in Orlando, Florida, as both clubs concluded their Leagues Cup 2026 campaigns.

Daryl Dike opened the scoring in the 31st minute, finishing from close range following a save on Tiago's header. Making his first start since returning to Orlando, Dike gave the Lions a 1-0 lead at halftime.

Orlando doubled its lead in the 69th minute. Tiago created the opportunity with a ball into the box, and Justin Ellis, who entered the match 10 minutes earlier for Dike, headed it past Gibrán Lajud.

Sebastián Pérez-Bouquet pulled one back for Atlético San Luis in the 78th minute after Orlando failed to clear the ball, finishing from inside the box to make it 2-1.

David Rodríguez equalized in the sixth minute of second-half stoppage time, collecting the ball near the edge of the box and firing into the net to make it 2-2.

Aldo Cruz was the only San Luis player to miss, with Javier Otero making the save as Orlando converted all five attempts to secure the 5-3 shootout win.
