- Must win game after the loss to Inter Miami left them in a bad spot in the Liga MX standings. Another defeat would practically mean elimination.
- Watch out for the Llorente-Mora duo. The Chilean and the Spaniard are just getting their first minutes together at Atlético San Luis and have already shown a glimpse of what they can do.
WHAT TO EXPECT?
Sunday’s matchup could come down to a clash of styles, with Atlético de San Luis looking to take the initiative while Nashville SC relies on its ability to win the ball back and quickly transition into attack. Diego Mejía expects a match that will require patience, knowing that a turnover in a dangerous area could create space for Nashville to exploit one of its biggest strengths: attacking in transition.
Nashville, meanwhile, will look to generate more attacking opportunities after being held scoreless against León. The potential return of several starters could provide a significant boost going forward, although B.J. Callaghan has already made it clear that he will continue managing his players’ minutes during this demanding stretch of the schedule.
San Luis has shown it can create dangerous opportunities even in defeat, but it still needs to turn those promising stretches into more complete performances. Nashville enters with greater stability based on its form throughout the season and will also have the advantage of playing at home.
