The 19-year-old young midfielder Marcelo Flores arrives to reinforce the current LIGA MX champion, who will be the league’s representative in Campeones Cup, which will be played on September 27 against Los Angeles Football Club, at BMO Stadium.

Flores will now have his first experience as a professional in Mexico, since he came through as a player with English club Arsenal and has recently spent time on loan at Real Oviedo in Spain.

“We think very highly of Marcelo Flores and we know the potential he has. Now we have to help build his career and know which is the best club to help him grow and that is what we are doing,” Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta said of the player on the Gunners' last preseason tour in the United States.

Tigres have already been reinforced this year with Mexican talent returning from Europe. First there was the arrival of Diego Lainez in the winter mercato and then the arrival of Eugenio Pizzuto, in the summer. It should be noted that these last two players had previous spells at Sporting Braga in Portugal before joining the team currently managed by Robert Siboldi.
