Following Atlas FC’s Clausura 2022 Final win on Sunday night and earning of the Campeón de Campeones crown, given the club’s back to back season wins, Atlas FC will represent LIGA MX and face New York City FC on Wednesday, September 14 at Yankee Stadium (7:30 p.m. ET) in New York City, to decide which league takes home this year’s Campeones Cup title.
Now in its fourth edition, the 2022 Campeones Cup will feature the reigning MLS Cup champions, NYCFC, against Atlas FC, LIGA MX’s Campeón de Campeones. With this they claimed back-back LIGA MX titles and move on as the LIGA MX representative in the Campeones Cup. Atlas FC defeated Club Leon in December 2021 to also win the 2021 Apertura season.
